Job Description

We are seeking a Docket Specialist to join a dynamic law firm. The Docket Specialist plays a key role in supporting the firm's litigation practice by managing court deadlines, maintaining accurate calendars, and ensuring compliance with state, federal, and agency rules. This position partners closely with attorneys and legal staff to provide reliable docketing support, court rule research, and calendaring guidance in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This position operates primarily in a remote capacity, with the expectation of occasional attendance in the Los Angeles office as needed for business and team requirements.

  • Calculate, enter, and maintain litigation deadlines for state, federal, and agency matters using the firm's docketing system.
  • 5+ years of experience and experience using Compulaw.
  • Research court rules and procedures to ensure accurate calendaring and compliance with filing requirements.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly and customized deadline, docket, and trial calendar reports.
  • Partner with attorneys, paralegals, and case teams to review, update, and verify docket entries.
  • Support electronic filing platforms, including PACER, CM/ECF, and other court-approved systems.
  • Serve as a resource for calendaring and court rule inquiries while assisting with docket-related projects and process improvements.
